Someone out there may be judging me for this picture, sorry if it offends...but I just wouldn't be a true mommy blogger if I didn't say something about how much I hate potty training. Was it hard? No. Was it child led? Yes. Were there meltdowns? No. Could have it been way worse? Yes.
But I got peed on!
So glad that's over.
Now on to a developmental step I loved. A big girl's bed!
We made the change into her bed the day we moved and she did and has done great. She seems to sleep actually better (except she did fall out once!) And she looks super sweet. Now I think I need to go kiss her before I go to bed.

love your house! okay...so more details about the potty training! What methods did you use? We are about to move...so I am planning on waiting until we are done with that before we start.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really use a method. Just she started holding her bm and getting a tummy ache so I figured it was time. I used cloth diapers which I think makes it easier cuz they can feel when they are wet (you may want to try buying/borrowing two or three when you begin they make it alot easier...also go with all thick underwear) I started telling her when I noticed that she was having a bm "oh you're going potty". I also let her start going in the bathroom with me when I went and saying "Mama's peeing" ect. Then when I worked up the courage I got a toddler potty, explained it to her and had her sit on it. She magically happened to have a bm in it the first time and I've never had a problem with those again. The peeing took a few weeks to get down, mostly when she's distracted she doesn't tell me until she's in the middle of going. My main advice is don't try it until you are sure they can somewhat hold it, otherwise it's a pain. Well actually it's a pain anyway.
ReplyDeleteP.S. where are you moving to?
