Eat, Drink and be Scary!

Or in Chiara's case, super cute :)  I really loved how her costume turned out this year...I must admit choosing something that required a comfy nightgown and bed slippers had it's perks for me too!

Look who else made an appearance!

Hope you all enjoyed too much sugar as much as we did!

"Fair"ly Fantastic

I love when my husband is home!  I love the fair! These things go well together in my mind :)  In case you haven't noticed, I really love community fairs, bazaars, and festivals.  There is something so nostalgic and All-American to me about the neon lights of the rides, the smell of cotton candy and popcorn, and the strange naivete that shrouds an otherwise (if over analyzed) weird phenomenon in our jaded society.

Where else can you get a belt buckle like this?

I'll admit I can barely ride the ferris wheel with my eyes open...but I do it anyway :)

These Boots were Made for Walking!

Chiara's independent streak has started to emerge.  She has chosen to exercise her right to choose her own shoes, and these are the preference almost every day lately!

This is the day I realized that she's not a baby anymore!
She has gotten all grown up!  I'm so sad and proud all at the same time!

I like to eat, eat, eat...

Because I really, really wanted to; we made a kinda long drive up to a pick em yourself apple orchard.  It was totally worth it.  Amazing views, crisp perfect apples, and a sweet little field worker to do all the heavy lifting!

I highly recommend this as THE perfect autumn activity!

Nesting

Maybe it's the cold weather...or maybe it's those nesting hormones...or maybe it's just Pintrest, but I have been making alot of stuff lately :)

My first attempt at canning: cranberry apple butter

I also have been sewing up a storm...with my mom's help we have converted four of my skirts into cute Sunday dresses, made a cute house dress from a tee-shirt (check out what she's wearing at the apple orchard), and I designed this little lace romper using a onesie, lace and some elastic :)

Throw in a button tree on canvas, a fall leaf table runner, and some cool details for the baby's nursery; it's apparent that the crafting bug has definitely bit!

For now in Mama's tummy...

Just in case you have missed out on the news...

We are having a baby boy in December!
Because of the myriad complications we never had an official announcement, but with only a few weeks left it's really obvious :)
