Hurricane Season

August always brings lots of rain...Actually it's hurricane season for us. Luckily we haven't been hit by anything major, but lots of rain makes for long lazy days

Since rainy days can be a bit boring...

 We try to entertain ourselves.

We read,

 Make music,

 Play Games

 Dress up,

Go play in it!

We have had enough days inside, so we will take the last few days of summer we can get before we have to begin fall!

Cousins Trip

Our visits with Erin are happily becoming a yearly tradition! This year we spent our time here in Charleston.  I love playing tour guide. 

This was the first time I visited Middleton Place and it was AMAZING!  It had a historic section with animals and actors to keep the kids interested and beautiful gardens.

Mom I approve of the food!

We may have encountered a little rain...but hey that just means we cooled off a bit!

And what trip to Charleston would be complete without a trip to the beach?

It was a quick trip, but we were so happy to see Erin and enjoy Charleston with her.

A Hike

We attempted something that should never be done in the Summer in South Carolina off the beach:

Hiking is too hot out in the South Cakalaky sun.

If you ever have to walk anywhere be sure to find some water to cool off with.

Mama, let's never do that again.
