Michael

Many exciting things happened in May for Michael.  He received his mission call to Paris France at a very fun (to plan) "Catch the Wave" party, he attended his senior prom, and he graduated from high school with enough cords and honors to look like he was at a Hawaiian party all over again!  I'm so proud of him finishing up all the things he needed to at the end of the year.   He had a hard year with some setbacks, so much business between school and work, and the general challenges of life.  I'm so happy that he is all set for his mission and received his acceptance to BYU.  It makes all his hard work worth it!
Congratulations Michael!!!

End of Year Shows

The end of the school year brought the end of year shows for Chiara's classes. They both happened to be the same day so we were busy, busy!  (I unfortunately forgot my camera for gymnastics, but got a few shots with my phone)

Her bun almost actually looks legit!

Miss Erin was such a wonderful introduction to Ballet, we are really going to miss her!
Here are some bonus shots from the photographer who came and got some shots of the girls during one of their classes.

We have had such good experiences with our gym and ballet academy.  I'm so glad we had the good advice from other moms to choose a bit more serious places that focused on technique over show.  Not only do I really feel Chiara learned so much this year, it was also so much less pressure for my shy girl.  She really has come out of her shell this year and I'm so proud of all that she can do!  (And tiny girls are so adorable in their gymnastics and ballet classes!)

Strawberry Fields

South Carolina is a bit like the Garden of Eden for growing things!  We got out to the strawberry patch several times this Spring and the kids went to town picking.  I went to town with jam, and this year I tried fruit leather!  It actually turned out quite delicious...can't wait for the rest of the crops!
