Five Years Together, He Still Gets To Me

We have had five years of adventures and eternity to go. Some highlights from the day of our 5 year anniversary:
I slept in (heaven) and woke to this...each balloon had 10 memories from that year, so a total of 50 memories!

We found the BEST Korean restaurant in Westminster...to say I was excited would be a gross understatement.

Evergreen

We love live trees!  Nothing like going out to the mountain to get a tree!  We had a few little lumberjacks to help out.

Found the perfect one...cut it down (Stu finally got to use his chainsaw!) and went on our way!

Moments Like This

One of the ways that Stuart's job and so much travel has blessed out lives is that I feel that I appreciate little things like this so much more than I would have if he was around all the time. I'm always so happy that I picked this awesome man to marry.  He is the best Daddy and his little kiddos love him so much!

Goodbye Summer

While we were exploring, we found Roy Aquatics Center...we had to introduce Kelly & Co.  Since Stuart had to head back on the road for his actual birthday (which incidentally was in the top 3 worst birthday category :( We will have to fix that for next year!) we hung out at the pool and went and grabbed Goodwood to celebrate the week before.  The pool closed for the summer but here are a few pics of how much fun the kids had.  The summer should be all about sun and swimming in my opinion and I'm glad that we took advantage despite all the craziness!

Blessed Reunion

We got to Utah in just enough time to unpack a bit, and then go to the Larsen family reunion.  We were especially excited because it was the first time we have been able to see many people, particularly Jamie and her kids!  This was the first time that all the cousins have been together since there were only two cousins!

It's fun to see how much the family has grown and also to catch up with all of Stuart's cousins and family that made it out!
The Harold Larsen Descendants
My kids really loved playing with all their cousins and second cousins and Chiara keeps talking about how much fun she had and asking when she can go back to the family reunion.

We also took the opportunity with so much family gathered to bless Navy.  It was a beautiful blessing and it was wonderful to share it with everyone, her uncles and great uncles were all in the circle, in such a picturesque spot. She was blessed that she could grow and learn at this early stage so that she would successfully progress in her life.  That she would always search for good and to find truth and light.  That she would be baptized and continue her journey in Christ joyfully with great perseverance. She was blessed that she would surround herself with good people to uplift her and that she would uplift and help each other to remain true.  That she would always search for the spirit and radiate the spirit.  That the spirit she would carry would bless the lives of others.  Particularly, she would be blessed with the spirit and a desire to share the gospel, to bring glad tidings of the gospel to individuals and families.  She was blessed to prepare to enter the temple and find a spouse to love and care for her, who would have the same righteous desires to continue on faithful to the end.  To return to Heavenly Father and experience all the joys that he wants for her.  She was blessed to know that Heavenly Father loves her and wants her to return to him and obtain the complete happiness that he has in store for her.

An all around wonderful experience!

Sugar and Spice

Nothing melts my heart like these sweeties baking up some goodies in the kitchen.  I love Christmas baking traditions!

28 is Great!

I can't help thinking how much Stuart and I have grown up since we got married.  It's so fun to see how confident Stuart has become as he runs his business and fathers our little tots.  This year we celebrated his birthday together with a fun camping trip.
There's nothing quite like camping on the beach surrounded by palms!

This weirdo deer came and begged for food at our campsite.

 Fun with friends!

We finally got to break out our Dutch oven and enjoyed yummy potatoes for dinner and a Mountain Man breakfast!
Hunting Island has this beautiful lighthouse.  I didn't particularly enjoy going to the top (too scary!) but it was breathtaking (literally!)
Stuart and Chiara enjoyed a competitive game of Candyland (Thanks Mom Larsen!)

And here is the Birthday boy sporting some of his new threads (Lucky guy got a whole new wardrobe!)
I love you Stuart!  You are my best friend and I always have so much fun when you are home!  This was no exception.  Happy Birthday!
