Cannonballs in the bath led to this misadventure. Chiara was horrified when she knocked out her front tooth. The first thing she said was "I can't let anyone see me like this, it's too embarrassing!". Luckily, I was able to explain that sometimes teeth are actually suppose to fall out, and she was excited once she found out about the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy left a sparkly dollar bill. And the crisis was adverted. Now there will be a long wait for a new one to come it.

FieraBeth!
Fiera Bethesda 31 hours into this world and not a wonder at 9lbs 3oz and 22 inches. Bethesda is a place of healing as in Biblical times an angel would mythically touch the water and provide healing to the first person to enter the water. Jesus famously arrived and healed the bedridden man who had no one to bring him to the water. I know my sister and he husband are too modest to talk about what it must mean to them that Bethesda is the place that they travelled to seek treatment for the cancer for my bil was diagnosed with shortly after discovering her conception. Without family near they quietly and fiercely faced and beat the cancer and finally this angel arrived in the very same hospital in Bethesda. I'm so proud and happy to have had a small chance to share this moment.

D.C.
I had fun visiting Gigi and Eric in Old Town Alexandria at their cute apartment. While we were waiting for baby Harris to make an appearance we did quite a bit of walking. I was glad because that gave me a chance to do some sightseeing!
