July

July was hot.  We definitely did some laying around...outside of course:

We did mix it up tho...there was alot of time spent in the garden, and partaking the fruits of our labor!

We tried out the great Salt Lake...never again. It's way too gross. It was cool to not sink but we have no plans to ever swim there again.

And of course the main event:
The 4th of July!

We caught the parade in the morning:

And we wrapped it up with some awesome fireworks! (seriously, we should have charged admission we had that many fireworks) The kids may or may not have helped with more than sparklers...but we will keep that photographic evidence on a needs to know basis. Check out the homemade shirts!

Late in the month I begged convinced Stuart to take me to the Tim Mcgraw concert.  He actually enjoyed it quite a bit.  It was a pretty good one.

Finally, we visited several of the fairs in our area...the kids favorites are inevitably the carousel and Ferris wheel.

June

We really started getting into the swing of summer in June.
Strawberry picking and the beginning of canning:

We spent the bulk of our summer at the pool of course! Some memorable highlights are that Chiara jumped off the diving board by herself for the first time and Asher is pretty much a fish going under the water and jumping in at every opportunity.

Little Buddy Boy had his half birthday and we celebrated by riding the frontrunner to the train museum.  He was very pleased as he is obsessed with trains and sports and cars (all represented nicely at that particular museum)
