I can hardly believe that it's been three years since I entered the MTC to serve my mission in the Korea Daejon Mission! My parents both served missions and because of their example I decided to go too.

I remember how nervous I was in the MTC and how anxious I was to be a good missionary...

It's funny because in those first weeks at the MTC I really believed that I was going to help others, and I think the person that benefited the most from my mission was me!
I realized that God can do this work regardless of me, but it was my privilege to be a part of it in this way... I also realized that sometimes we wait for the blessings as some distant future thing, when the real blessing is sometimes the experience!
This is an exerpt from what I wrote in my journal 3 years ago today...my first night in the MTC
"Today was the longest day ever. There were so many emotions. I felt the Spirit so strongly today and it really makes me want to do my best.... I'm excited and want to keep this Spirit I felt today with me always! I guess that means I better go to bed on time...right now!"

Wow! This is so beautiful! I've never seen a scrapbooked blog before. I love it! Maybe I need to step up the mission blog to a new level. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invite! You already look like a professional blogger. I'm impressed! It was fun to see those pictures from your mission. I bet you were a great missionary...especially with such a wonderful heritage.
